Prof. Dr. Andrew Loishori Mollel (PhD) is a lawyer by profession, holding Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) Degree from the University of Dar es salaam (1997); Master of Laws (LL.M) Degree in International Human Rights Law from Lund University Sweden (2000); and PhD in Law (specializing in Human Rights and Conflict Resolution) from the University of Eastern Finland (2009).

Prof. Mollel, is an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania https://tanzlii.org and has more than 25 years in legal training, teaching and research experience in higher education institutions in Tanzania and beyond. He has authored a wide range of publications in the areas of cyber law, IT Law, evidence law, conflict resolution, International law, human rights law, management and civil society organisation laws. 

He has supervised more than 32 Masters and PhD studies in Law, and held various academic and administrative leadership positions, including being Dean of Faculty of Law (both at IUCo in 2000 to 2004 and at TUDARCo in 2010 to 2012), Director of  Research and Publications, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) and Acting Vice Chancellor (at SEKOMU-Lushoto), Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) St. Joseph University in Tanzania, Deputy Provost for /Vice Chancellor for Academics  Dar e salaam Tumaini University (DarTU) formerly (TUDARCo).  Prof. Mollel brings useful experience to the Governing Board of the Law School.

His areas of specialization include: conflict resolution, Management, international law and human rights law, international relations, international criminal law, cyber law, IT law to name a few.
